This place has closed down yet still shows as open on website and facebook, even advertising bands for future dates. Drove all the way there last night for a very rude awakening!
If you want rock n roll then this is the place to be! Can't fault it! Very welcoming and warm staff. Brilliant bands, good ale and good food!
The room is really basic but clean and tidy. The pub describes its self as a dive bar, and yeah definitely a bit tatty but that adds to the charm. The staff are brilliant, really really friendly and on the ball.
Great little venue. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Need to return to try their famous burger menu.
Had the pleasure of seeing Anvil play here tonight. Easy to find with parking next to the entrance. Even if the carpark is full there is plenty of room down the side street. The venue is fairly small which makes for a very intimate feel that I personally love. The bar staff are attentive & friendly and the drinks aren't badly priced. I think it was approximately 3.40 for a bottle of Peroni and 3.00 for a pint of coke - or thereabouts. I wish I lived closer because this would make a very nice 'local' for my better half and me. It was our first visit tonight and we can't wait to return.
